Trivia

    Album

  • This was writer Sachin Bhowmick's first and only Hindi film as a director. He never directed a film again despite its success.
  • This film was released in 1973 but its audio records were issued in 1972.
  • Mumtaz appeared in an uncredited cameo as herself in this film.

    Song

  • Jab Andhera Hota Hai - The tune of this song's mukhda was adapted from the song "The Age of Aquarius" by the American band The 5th Dimension. The original song was recorded as a medley of two songs - "Aquarius" and "Let the Sunshine In" - recorded for the album "The Age of Aquarius" (1969).[1]
  • Jab Andhera Hota Hai - Percussionist Homi Mullan played the Afro harp in this song.[2]
  • Jab Andhera Hota Hai - The title of this song may have inspired the title of a film released in 1974. While the music for this film was composed by R.D. Burman, the music director for the 1974 film was Burman's assistant Sapan Chakraborty.[3]
