Trivia

    Album

  • This was the only Hindi film score of Satyam, a popular music director of the Telugu film industry. He did have to his credit a few Telugu film albums dubbed in Hindi.
  • It appears that this film was initially titled "Do Dil Do Raaste". Audio records were also issued with this title before the film's title was changed.[MR1]

    Song

  • Hum Jo Mile Toh Sara Zamana Jale - The tune of this song was inspired by the theme for the Hollywood film "Love Story" (1970), composed by Francis Lai. The theme composition was later used in the song "Where Do I Begin?" recorded by Andy Williams. This tune has been used in other Hindi film songs - "Saamne Aa" ("Judaai", 1980), "Dil Kyon Dhadakta Hai" ("Jaanam", 1993) and "Chand Chhupa Baadal Mein" ("Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam", 1999).[1][2][3][4]
  • Mere Dil Jhoom Jhoom Tu Gaaye Ja - The tune of this song was adapted from Jose Feliciano's "Rain". R.D. Burman used this tune twice - for the flute solo in "Jaane Jaan Dhoondhta Phir Raha" ("Jawani Diwani", 1972) and the song "Maine Tumko Chaha Pehli Baar" ("Double Cross", 1973). "Rain" was also used in a medley sung by Usha Iyer in the film "Bombay To Goa" (1972). Music director Anu Malik's "Sun Sun Sun Barsaat Ki Dhun" ("Sir", 1993) also used the same tune.[5][6][7][8][9]
