This album had the movie title featured prominently in five different songs, each by a different music director - the title song, "Na Sone Ka Bangla", "Churaya Churaya", "Tujhe Dekha Jabse" and "Soni Soni".
This film was a remake of the Tamil hit film "Minnale" (2001). The soundtrack included some of Harris Jayaraj's compositions from the Tamil original. The title song and "Dil Ko Tum Se" were new compositions by Harris Jayaraj for the Hindi version of the film. This was his Hindi film debut.[1]
R. Madhavan and Dia Mirza made their Hindi film debut in this film.
While this was R. Madhavan's official Hindi film debut, he had appeared earlier in an uncredited cameo in the Hindi film song "Chup Tum Raho Chup Hum Rahen" ("Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin", 1996).[2]
Song
Zara Zara Bahakta Hai - This was the debut Hindi film song of the Carnatic singer Bombay Jayashri.
Dil Ko Tumse Pyar Hua - Harris Jayaraj reused this composition for the Tamil film song "Ondra Renda" ("Kaakha Kaakha", 2003). "Kaakha Kaakha" was later remade into "Force" (2011) in Hindi. While some Harris Jayaraj songs from the Tamil original were used in "Force", "Ondra Renda" itself was not.[3]
Dil Ko Tumse Pyar Hua - This song may have been inspired by the instrumental track "Song From A Secret Garden" (1995) by Secret Garden.[4]
Na Sone Ke Bangle Mein - This song was removed from the film.
