- This was Vijay Singh's debut Hindi film as a music director. Vijay Singh was Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan, the king of the erstwhile princely state of Sangli. His daughters Bhagyashree - famous for the superhit "Maine Pyar Kiya" (1989), Madhuvanti, and Purnima Patwardhan went on to act in films. Vijay Singh composed music for several films and also produced and directed two - "Dimple" (1977) and "Kabhie Ajnabi The" (1985).[1][2][3]
