Trivia

    Album

  • This was a remake of the hit Telugu film "Vikramarkudu" (2006) directed by S.S. Rajamouli and starring Ravi Teja and Anushka Shetty. The Telugu film was also remade in Kannada as "Veera Madakari" (2009), in Tamil as "Siruthai" (2011), and in Bengali as "Bikram Singha" (2012).
  • The film's director Prabhu Deva and lead actress Sonakshi Sinha made a cameo appearance in "Oh My God!" (2012) performing a dance for the song "Go Go Govinda". Akshay Kumar, who played the lead role in this film, played a key role in "Oh My God!" (2012). In the middle of the song, Paresh Rawal's character looks at the dance performance and says "Abe yeh rowdy hai. Mera Rathore baaju ki gali mein hai". The line was a reference to this film.[1]
  • Local activists disrupted the shooting of a song for this film at Hampi. They accused the filmmakers of not employing enough local crew and artists. The activists also said that the film crew was shooting the song beyond the dates on which they had the required permissions.[2]

    Song

  • Chinta Ta Chita Chita Chinta Ta Ta - The tune and hook line of this song were adapted from a folk song used commonly in Tamil Nadu colleges as a protest song. The same tune and refrain were used previously in a song in the Telugu film "Vikramarkudu" (2006).[3][4]
  • Chinta Ta Chita Chita Chinta Ta Ta - The film's director Prabhudeva, actress Kareena Kapoor, and Tamil film star Vijay made cameo appearances in the film for this song.
  • Aa Re Pritam Pyaare - This song may have been inspired by the Tamil film song "Vaadi Vaadi Nattukkattai" ("Alli Thandha Vaanam", 2001), composed by Vidyasagar and sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Sujatha Mohan.[5]
  • Aa Re Pritam Pyaare - Maryam Zakaria, Mumait Khan, and Shakti Mohan made a cameo appearance in the film for this song.
