Trivia

    Album

  • This was actor, wrestler Dara Singh's last film as a director.
  • Singer Sadhna Sargam sang solos for the first time for this Hindi film. It was also the first time she was credited with the "Sargam" moniker given by her mentors, music directors Kalyanji - Anandji. Prior to this film, she had sung a few group songs for the film "Raja Raneeko Chahiye Paseena" (1978) and was credited with her birth name Sadhna Ghanekar.[1]
  • This film appears to be an adaptation of the Hollywood sports drama "The Champ" (1979), starring Jon Voight and Faye Dunaway. "The Champ" (1979) itself was a remake of the 1931 film of the same title. It was adapted for another Hindi film, "Adhikar" (1986), starring Rajesh Khanna, Tina Munim and Zarina Wahab. The Pakistani film "Qurbani" (1981) also had a similar plot.[2]
