Album

• This film was a remake of the Malayalam hit "Thenmavin Kombathu" (1994) starring Mohanlal. Both films were directed by Priyadarshan.
• While the film credited music directors Nadeem - Shravan in the opening credits, its audio CD itself did not mention the composers. It was commonly acknowledged that this was due the fact that the CD was released soon after Nadeem Saifi had been linked to the murder of the T-Series head, Gulshan Kumar. In the years to come, Nadeem - Shravan's credits were removed completely from the digital catalogue of T-Series albums. By the 2010s, the composer credited on the digital copies of all Nadeem - Shravan albums had been changed to Bhushan Dua, Gulshan Kumar's son and the CEO of T-Series.
• This was the first Hindi film of the Tamil film actor Arvind Swamy, who shot to fame with his role in the Tamil film "Roja" (1992).

• Jhoothi Jhoothi (Jhooth Bol Naa Sach Baat Bol De) - This song was based on the tune of the Malayalam film song "Pathirakkili" ("Kizhakkan Pathrose", 1992). The original song was composed by S.P. Venkatesh and sung by Yesudas.[1]
• Saat Rang Ke Sapnon Mein - The tune of this song's mukhda was based on the Malayalam film song "Poo Venam" ("Oru Minnaminunginte Nurunguvettam", 1987) composed by Johnson.[2]
