• This is considered to be the first Hindi sex comedy film. The film failed, probably because the Indian audience wasn't ready for this genre yet. When someone told Hrishikesh Mukherjee that it was his first film that did not feature a death, the director quipped that someone did die - the film's distributors.[1]
• This was the only Hindi film featuring the Romanian singer and dancer Naarghita. She also lent her voice to a song in the film. Naarghita was the stage name of Maria Amarghioalei, who fell in love with Hindi films and their music after she watched "Awara" (1951). She performed for the Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi during a state visit to Romania and impressed her so much that she invited her on a visit to India. Naarghita visited India in the early 1970s and met many dignitaries of the film industry. It was during this period that she shot for this film. She returned to Romania and continued to record covers of Hindi film songs through the 1980s.

• तेरा सबसे बड़ा सुख (चल चल चल रे) - Salil Chowdhury used the tune of this song in two other songs - the Bengali non-film song "Antabihin Kaate Na Aar Jeno" (1972), sung by Lata Mangeshkar, and the Malayalam film song "Devi Devi" ("Samayamayillapolum", 1978), sung by Yesudas.[2][3]
• दिल दिल से मिलेगा - This was singer Nitin Mukesh's debut Hindi film song. He also made an uncredited cameo appearance in the film for it.
