Trivia

    Album

  • This was actress Hema Malini's debut Hindi film. The moniker "Dream Girl" was coined by producer B. Ananthaswami to promote her for the film. The name stuck and eventually ended up being used as the title for the film "Dream Girl" (1977).[1][MR50]
  • Director Mahesh Kaul felt that Hema Malini's Hindi had a strong Tamil accent and hired Lakshmi Sharma, an announcer and newsreader with All India Radio, to coach the debutant actress in dialogue delivery.[MR50]
  • The film opened with a dedication - "This film is dedicated to the memory of the producer's brother-in-law the late A.N. Ramanathan of Hyderabad who lived the life of Sapnon Ka Saudagar".
