Trivia

    Album

  • This was Advait Chandan's directorial debut. Before this film, he was associated with Aamir Khan Productions for about a decade and even worked as Aamir Khan's manager for a few years.[1]
  • The film was in the works for some time. It was launched with the title "Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna Hai", inspired by a popular song from the film "Guide" (1965). It was announced in 2015 that the film's music would be composed by A.R. Rahman and Prasoon Joshi would write the lyrics. However, delays in the film resulted in Rahman and Joshi calling it quits. They were replaced by Amit Trivedi and Kausar Munir.[2][3][4][5]
  • The film was a critical and commercial success. Like some of Aamir Khan's other films, this film also did very well in China. It was the first Indian film to secure a revenue-sharing arrangement in China, making it even more profitable than Aamir's blockbuster hit "Dangal" (2016).[6][7]
  • This was 16-year-old Meghna Mishra's first Hindi film as a playback singer. She had debuted earlier in the Marathi film "Vitti Dandu" (2014). Mishra became one of the few playback singers who won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer on their debut.[8]
