• The film premiered at the New York Indian Film Festival in May 2017. It was released in India in July 2017.[1]
• Filmmaker Onir had written the script of this film more than a decade ago during the making of "Daman" (2001). He had worked as an assistant director to Kalpana Lajmi on it. This was his first film script. Onir had conceived the film with Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Suri in lead roles but the film didn't materialise then. When Onir revived the project, he felt that he needed a younger male lead and replaced Suri with the debutant actor Ashish Bisht. Suri co-produced the film and made a cameo appearance in it.[2][3][4]
