Trivia

    Album

  • The Hindi film "Shreemaan Aashique" (1993) was probably inspired by this film.[1]
  • Actor Mac Mohan had debuted earlier in the film "Haqeeqat" (1964). He was wrongly credited in it as Brij Mohan instead of his real name Mohan Makhijani. The actor, who was nicknamed Macky by his friends, was referred to as Mac Mohan by the Filmfare editor L.P. Rao in his review of "Haqeeqat" (1964). The name stuck. After being credited as Brij Mohan in a few films, he was credited as Mac for the first time in this film and eventually as Mac Mohan starting in 1971.[2][3]

    Song

  • Dil Vil Pyar Vyar Main Kya Jaanoon Re - The song opened with two lines sung by Mohammed Rafi. However, the film's music records did not credit him for it.
  • Dil Vil Pyar Vyar Main Kya Jaanoon Re - This song may have inspired the title of a 2002 film. Interestingly, while the songs of the 2002 film were covers of R.D. Burman songs, the score for this film was composed by Laxmikant - Pyarelal.[4]
  • Bade Miyan Deewane Aise Na Bano - This song was released as a Mohammed Rafi solo with two antaras in the original 78 rpm records. The film and its subsequent music releases had four antaras in the song - the first three were sung by Mohammed Rafi and the last by Manna Dey. He was not credited in either the records or the film but it appears that the spoken words in the song were I.S. Johar's.
  • Woh Hain Zara Khafa Khafa - This song inspired a portion of the popular Tamil film song "Thoduvathenna Thendralo" ("Sabatham", 1971) by music director G.K. Venkatesh. Venkatesh reused the same tune later for the Telugu film song "Nannu Thaakirevvaro" ("Kodalu Pilla", 1972).[5][6]
