Trivia

    Album

  • Anurag Kashyap wasn't associated with this film initially. When the film was launched, first-time director Bejoy Nambiar would visit Anurag's girlfriend Kalki Koechlin at his home to discuss her role in the film. When Anurag realised that the film had not made much progress in two years, he made Bejoy an offer to produce the film. His only condition was that he would produce the film on a budget lower than what it was launched with. One of the changes made when Bejoy took up Anurag Kashyap's offer was to replace Arshad Warsi in the lead role with Rajeev Khandelwal.[1]
  • This was composer Prashant Pillai's debut Hindi film.

    Song

  • Hawa Hawai - This was a recreated version of a popular song from the film "Mr. India" (1987). The original song was composed by Laxmikant - Pyarelal, written by Javed Akhtar, and sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy. Tanishk Bagchi recorded a remixed version of the same song for the film "Tumhari Sulu" (2017).[2][3]
  • Khoya Khoya Chand (The Bartender Mix) - This song was the cover version of a song from the film "Kala Bazar" (1960). The original song was composed by S.D. Burman, written by Shailendra, and sung by Mohammed Rafi. While this recreated version was used in a much-discussed sequence in the film, it was not included in the music release. This is because Mikey McCleary had recorded the song for Sony Music's album of Hindi film song covers titled "Classic Bollywood - Shaken, Not Stirred" (2011).[4]
