Trivia

    Album

  • This was S.D. Burman's first Hindi film as music director.[MR6]

    Song

  • Dol Rahi Hai Naiya Meri - Male - This song was based on the tune of the Bengali song "Chokh Gelo" composed by Kazi Nazrul Islam and sung by S.D. Burman.[1]
  • Rangeela Rangeela Rangeela Re Jawani Mein Sata Ke - This song was based on the Bengali song "Rongila Rongila Rongila Re", sung by S.D. Burman, and composed and written by Palli Kabi. S.D. Burman used this tune again for the song "Aan Milo Shyam Saanwre" ("Devdas", 1955). The tune was also used by R.D. Burman for the flute introduction in the song "Kuch Na Kaho" ("1942 - A Love Story", 1994).[2][3][4][MR21]
