Trivia

    Album

  • This was the prequel to the hit film "Shootout At Lokhandwala" (2007). It told the real-life story of what's considered the first encounter conducted by the Mumbai police. Sub-Inspector Isaque Bagwan had set out to apprehend the notorious underworld criminal Manya Surve but the operation ended with Surve being shot dead. The film took inputs from the book "Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia" (2012) by S. Hussain Zaidi.[1][2]
  • Based on a true story, this film had initially used the real names of the characters involved. Later though, they decided to use fictionalised names based on the feedback of Assistant Commissioner of Police Isaque Bagwan, who as a Sub-Inspector had led the operation that resulted in the killing of Manya Surve. Fearing legal disputes, Gupta changed the names of all the characters except Many Surve's. This involved re-shooting and re-dubbing some portions of the film. Isaque Bagwan clarified that he had assisted the filmmakers and even given them a No Objection Certificate (NOC) without charging a fee. However, when he saw the film's promotions, he felt that the film was not truthful. He, therefore, disassociated himself from the film and withdrew the NOC.[3][4]
  • This was the debut Hindi film of actor Siddhant Kapoor, the son of Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kolhapure, and the brother of Shraddha Kapoor.

    Song

  • Babli Badmaash - It appears that Anu Malik adapted the tunes of two R.D. Burman songs for this song - "Lehra Ke Aaya Hai Jhonka Bahaar Ka" ("Waris", 1969), sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi, and "Jaan-E-Jaanan Jao Kal Phir Aana" ("Samadhi", 1972), sung by Kishore Kumar.[5][6]
  • Babli Badmaash - Priyanka Chopra made a cameo appearance in the film for this song.
  • Laila Teri Le Legi Tu Likh Ke Le Le - Based on the Censor Board's objection, the makers of the film dubbed the phrase "Le Legi" to "Lutt Legi" in the version of the song that was broadcast on television.[7]
  • Laila Teri Le Legi Tu Likh Ke Le Le - Sunny Leone made a cameo appearance in the film for this item song.
