This was one of the few films in which Luv Ranjan directed actors Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha.[1][2][3]
Despite critics labelling the film misogynistic, it became a surprise blockbuster hit and grossed more than Rs. 100 crores worldwide.
Yo Yo Honey Singh made a comeback in this film with two recreated songs. In 2016, the rapper had talked about his struggles with alcoholism and bipolar disorder. He took a break from work after that and did not record any Hindi film song for the next two years.[4][5]
This was Alok Nath's first big film in many years. The actor got embroiled in a controversy a few months after its release when writer, producer Vinta Nanda accused him of rape. She claimed that the actor had raped her in the 1990s during the making of the TV show "Tara". In a social media post, she said that she had waited 19 years for a movement like #MeToo to share her experience. A few other women also came out after this and made similar accusations against Nath. One of them was actress Deepika Amin who worked with him in this film. Amin said that she had been harassed by the actor "years ago" but that he was "quiet and subdued" during the making of this film.[6][7]

छोटे छोटे पेग मार - The tune of the song's hook line was taken from the Hindi film song "Dil Tote Tote Ho Gaya" ("Bichhoo", 2000). The original song was composed by Anand Raj Anand, written by Sameer, and sung by Shweta Shetty and Hans Raj Hans.[9]
बॉम डिग्गी डिग्गी - This was the Hindi film debut of two UK-based artists - singer-songwriter Zack Knight and singer Jasmin Walia. It was a recreated version of a song they had originally recorded in 2017.[10]
स्वीटी स्लोली स्लोली - This was the debut Hindi film song of music director Saurabh - Vaibhav and lyricist Swapnil Tiwari.
