    Album

  • The film was a biopic of the celebrated Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh. He was one of the recipients of the Arjuna Award in 2010. Sandeep and his brother Bikramjeet Singh were credited as "Hockey Consultants" in the end credits and also made cameo appearances in the film.[1]
  • This was actress Chitrangada Singh's first film as a producer. The film was co-produced under her newly-formed banner CS Films.[2]
  • Ranveer Singh and Ileana D'Cruz were the initial choices for the film's lead roles. However, they opted out since they had other commitments. The roles eventually went to Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu.[3][4]

  • Flicker Singh - The song was titled after the nickname of the film's protagonist Sandeep Singh, the professional hockey player who represented India in the 2000s.
