Trivia

    Album

  • This was the last Hindi film of producer Amar Jeet and his banner Nalanda. He had started his career as a producer with the film "Teen Devian" (1965).[1]
  • This was the only film in which Amrita Singh and Sharmila Tagore worked together. Amrita Singh would go on to get married to Sharmila Tagore's son, Saif Ali Khan, in 1991. They eventually got divorced in 2004.
  • This was Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh's second consecutive film together after their debut film "Betaab" (1983).[2]
  • This was the first film featuring Sunny Deol and his father Dharmendra. The two played father and son in the film as well but did not appear on the screen together.
  • This was Waheeda Rehman's first film with director Raj Khosla in more than 25 years. The two had stopped working together after a spat during the making of "Solva Saal" (1958).[3]

    Song

  • Jaane Kya Baat Hai - R.D. Burman had used the tune of this song earlier for the Bengali non-film song "Chokhe Naame Brishti", sung by Asha Bhosle. Asha Bhosle had said in an interview that R.D. Burman would sing the Bengali song to her to make up with her after a tiff.[4]
