Trivia

    Album

  • This was Nikhil Saini's directorial debut.
  • This was Smita Patil and Raj Babbar's first release together. However, according to Raj Babbar, they first met while shooting for the film "Bheegi Palken" (1982) which was released later. They apparently got off on the wrong foot but eventually fell in love and got married. Their marriage created a flutter in the film industry since Raj Babbar was already married to Nadira Babbar at the time and even had two children, Juhi and Arya Babbar. Smita Patil died in 1986 at the young age of 31 while giving birth to their son Prateik Babbar.[1][2]
  • Two gangsters, Amirzada and Alamzeb, had coerced the producer of this film, Ahmed Sayeed Khan, to assist them in identifying someone in the film industry they could target for extortion. It was based on his tip that they had ordered the kidnapping of Mushir Alam, who at the time was producing the film "Shakti" (1982). The kidnappers of Mushir Alam had demanded a ransom of 20 lakh rupees but had settled for an amount of a little over 2 lakhs. The police had cracked the case and arrested members of the Amirzada-Alamzeb gang in a matter of days.[3][4]

    Song

  • Ek Nahin Hum Do - Shabbir Kumar made his singing debut with this song.
  • Dil Chura Le Jo Mera - This was actor Naseeruddin Shah's singing debut. In fact, this was the only Hindi film song in which he actually sang. There were other songs later in which he recited or spoke the lyrics.
