Trivia

    Album

  • This album marked the 25th year of the Indian Ocean band.

    Song

  • Charkha - The vocals in this song are based on a collaboration Indian Ocean did with some Santhali musicians in 2013.[1]
  • Cheetu - Rahul Ram learned about this song while he was agitating against the Sardar Sarivar Dam project on the river Narmada. He, along with other activists, were jailed in the police station which used to be house of the Bhil chieftain about whom this song is. Rahul's rendition of this song in the lockup pleased the jailer so much that he brought him home-cooked food to eat.[2]
  • Gar Ho Sake - The lyrics of this song were from a poem that was being used by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in its 2014 Lok Sabha election campaign. The band Indian Ocean came across it and were so impressed that they decided to make a song out of it.
