• This film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2010 but got a theatrical release in India only in September 2011.
• The film featured two songs but did not have a music release. It was the debut film of composers Suhaas Ahuja, Benedict Taylor, and Naren Chandavarkar, and lyricist Varun Grover.
• This was the second film after "Dev.D" (2009) in which Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin worked together. They were dating at the time the film was made. The couple married in 2011, separated in 2013, and got divorced in 2015.[1]
• According to Anurag Kashyap, he financed this film from his own savings as well as by borrowing money from his friends and family. When Kashyap thanked his lenders in the film, some of them asked their names to be removed since they didn't want to be associated with a film that portrayed sex so explicitly.[2][3]
• This was a rare Hindi film that did not have an intermission.[4]
