Trivia

    Album

  • The film was based on the real-life story of Aisha Chaudhary, a girl born with Severe Combined Immune Deficiency, and her family - father Niren, mother Aditi, and brother Ishan. Aisha died of pulmonary fibrosis in 2015 at the age of 18. The events depicted in the film were credited to "detailed narrations" by Aditi Chaudhary.[1]
  • Filmmaker Shonali Bose was drawn to the film's story because of the parallels it had with her own life. Bose had lost her son Ishan in 2010 when he was only 16 years old and had separated from her husband, filmmaker Bedabrata Pain, after that. She was fascinated by the fact that while most marriages did not survive the death of a child, the Chaudhary couple had remained together after their daughter's death. She dedicated the film to the children of the Chaudhary family - Tanya, Ishaan, and Aisha - and to her own sons, Ishan and Vivan. In a scene in the film, Priyanka Chopra referred to Ishaan's character as Ishlu, Shonali Bose's pet name for her own Ishan. Chopra took Bose's permission to use the pet name in this scene.[2][3]
  • This was Priyanka Chopra's first Hindi film appearance after her marriage to the American singer, songwriter Nick Jonas in 2018. She was credited as Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Her last Hindi film before this was "Jai Gangaajal" (2016).[4]
  • The film's end credits featured a track titled "For Aisha" which was not part of the soundtrack album. The song was produced by the electronic music duo Memba of which Aisha Chaudhary's brother Ishaan was a part. It was sung by Evan Giia and the Nooran Sisters and its lyrics were written by Evan Giia and Anvita Dutt.[5]
  • This was actress Zaira Wasim's last film before she announced in June 2019 that she would be quitting acting. Her announcement came a few months before the film's release in October 2019. The actress did not participate in its promotion. Wasim explained in a social media post that she was leaving the film industry because her work was threatening her faith and religion.[6][7]

    Song

  • Pink Gulaabi Sky - The song was supposed to be part of the film when it was shot. However, it was edited out later and used only for promotional purposes.[8]
