Trivia

    Album

  • Amitabh Bachchan played the role of a magician in two films released in quick succession in 1989 - this film and "Jaadugar" (1989). The director of "Jaadugar" (1989), Prakash Mehra, had accused Amitabh of professional dishonesty for not revealing to him that he was playing a similar role in another film.[1]
  • After a string of successes, this was Amitabh Bachchan's last film for Manmohan Desai's M.K.D. Films.

    Song

  • Don't Worry Be Happy - This song was adapted from the Grammy-winning song "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by the American artist Bobby McFerrin.[2]
  • Haan Bhai Haan Main Hoon Jawan - This song was an adaptation of the hit song "Hawa Hawa" (1987) by the Pakistani singer Hasan Jahangir. "Hawa Hawa" itself was plagiarized from the song "Havar Havar" (1974) by the Iranian singer Kourosh Yaghmaei. Two other songs released the same year, "Aaya Aaya Pyar Aaya" ("Aag Ka Gola", 1989) and "Jawan Jawan Ho Jawan Ishq Jawan Hai" ("Billoo Baadshah", 1989), were also adapted from the same song.[3][4][5][6]
