Trivia

    Album

  • Shekhar Kapur and Shabana Azmi had become good friends after meeting on the sets of the film "Ishk Ishk Ishk" (1974). They were later romantically involved and were cast together in a few films, including two in which they were paired onscreen - this film and "Jeena Yahan" (1979). The two eventually parted ways, but when Kapur decided to direct his first film, "Masoom" (1983), he brought Shabana Azmi on board.[1][2][3]
  • The audio records of this film were issued in 1977 but the film was released in 1978.
  • This was the directorial debut of Ketan Anand, the son of filmmaker Chetan Anand.

    Song

  • Nanha Sa Panchhi Re Tu (Sad) - This song was an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's "Bhenge Mor Gharer Chabi".
  • Kya Jane Yeh Duniya Kya Jane - The prominent vibraphone in the prelude and interludes of this song was played by Kersi Lord.[4]
