Trivia

    Album

  • Anil Kapoor and Madhuri were paired together for the first time in 19 years in this film. Their previous film as a pair was "Pukar" (2000). They did work together in "Lajja" (2001) but didn't share any scenes in it.[1][2]
  • This was the third film in the "Dhamaal" franchise. It was preceded by "Dhamaal" (2007) and "Double Dhamaal" (2011). The first two films in the series had the same five male leads - Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chowdhry, and Jaaved Jaafery. In this film, Sanjay Dutt and Ashish Chowdhry exited the franchise, and Ajay Devgan and Anil Kapoor came in. All three films were directed by Indra Kumar.[3][4]
  • In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack in which a suicide bomber killed 40 CRPF personnel, the makers of this film announced that it would not be released in Pakistan.[5]
  • Many reviewers pointed out that the film's plot was heavily plagiarised from the American comedy "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" (1963).[6]

    Song

  • Paisa Yeh Paisa - This was a recreated version of a song from the film "Karz" (1980). The original song was composed by Laxmikant - Pyarelal, written by Anand Bakshi, and sung by Kishore Kumar.[7]
  • O Mungda Mungda Main Gud Ki Dali - This was a recreated version of a popular song from the film "Inkaar" (1977). It took the tune and lyrics of the original song's mukhda as well as the tune of its antara but also featured some new tunes and lyrics. The original song was composed by Rajesh Roshan, written by Majrooh Sultanpuri, and sung by Usha Mangeshkar. The hook line of a song in the film "Commando" (2013) was inspired by the same song.[8][9]
  • O Mungda Mungda Main Gud Ki Dali - Sonakshi Sinha made a cameo appearance in the film for this song.
