This was actress Leela Naidu's first Hindi film in more than a decade. It also happened to be her last ever Hindi film. Her last film prior to this was "Umeed" (1971). She had retired from films after her marriage to author Dom Moraes in 1969.[1]
The house in which this film was shot was cartoonist Mario Miranda's ancestral home in Loutolim, Goa. In fact, the film was inspired by a part of Mario Miranda's family history.[2]
Goan musician Remo Fernandes debuted as a composer in this Hindi film. His first commercial Hindi film album was "Jalwa" (1987).[3]
Song
O Mere Man Ke Saiba - While this Konkani song was recorded for this film, Remo Fernandes also included it in his album "Old Goan Gold" (1985).
