Trivia

    Album

  • The film was an adaptation of the American war drama film "Little Boy" (2015) directed by Alejandro Gomez Monteverde.
  • Shah Rukh Khan made a cameo appearance in the film. It was the first time in several years that he appeared in a film with Salman Khan. Their last film together prior to this was "Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam" (2002). Salman had also made a cameo appearance in Shah Rukh's "Om Shanti Om" (2007).[1][2]
  • The film shared its title with a Kannada film that was in the making at the time. The makers of the Kannada film had registered the title in four languages including Hindi. Director Kabir Khan obtained a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Kannada filmmakers to use the same title for his film.[3]
  • Actor Om Puri passed away during the film's making. It was among his last films to be released.
  • Real-life brothers Salman and Sohail Khan played brothers in the film as well.

    Song

  • Naach Meri Jaan Ho Ke Magan Tu - The song featured the Hindi film song "Beautiful Baby Of Broadway" ("Ek Phool Char Kante", 1960) being played on a screen. The 1960 song was sung by Iqbal Singh and also had him performing it on-screen in the manner of Elvis Presley. Salman Khan's character in the film mimicked Iqbal Singh's moves in this song.[4]
  • Naach Meri Jaan Ho Ke Magan Tu - This was Tushar Joshi's first Hindi film song.
  • Naach Meri Jaan Ho Ke Magan Tu - The chorus in this song was based on a Kumaoni folk song sung during the Phool Dei festival of Uttarakhand.
