सामान्य ज्ञान

    एल्बम

  • The film credited "the works of Narayan Dharap" as its inspiration in its end credits. It is believed that Dharap's short stories "Aaji" and "Bali" form the basis of its plot. Director Rahi Anil Barve had borrowed the title of a Marathi novel by S.N. Pendse, "Tumbaad Che Khot", as its working title. He got so attached to it that he modified it to come up with the film's eventual title. Barve clarified the film itself had no connection with the novel.[1]
  • The film was several years in the making and encountered many challenges. Work on the film started in 2008-2009 with a 600-page storyboard created by Rahi Anil Barve, a dyslexic animator. In its early years, the film had Nawazuddin Siddiqui as its lead actor and Anurag Kashyap as a producer. However, they left the project and Sohum Shah came on board as a producer and lead actor. Filmmaker Anand Gandhi also came on board and co-wrote its script. He left midway but was credited as Creative Director. The film was shot over three years during the monsoon months to ensure that it conformed to the premise that it always rained in the titular village. Aanand L. Rai joined as a producer later, paving the path for a wide theatrical release.[2]
  • Adesh Prasad, the film's co-writer and co-director, chose the Los Angeles-based, Danish composer Jesper Kyd for the film's background score. His choice was driven by Kyd's award-winning music for the video game "Hitman: Contracts" (2004) and the fact that he was looking for a unique sound that wasn't either Western or Indian. Kyd never visited India for the film but collaborated with Prasad over video calls over a period of nine months. One of the references Kyd used to develop the score was a song composed by Laxmikant - Pyarelal for "Ram Lakhan" (1989).[3][4][5]

    गीत

  • तुम्बाड़ - This was the first solo Hindi film song sung by music director Atul Gogavale.
