Album

This film was a remake of the Telugu film "Sathruvu" (1990).
This film was launched in the early 1990s with the title "Mera Kartavya". It was delayed when Sanjay Dutt was jailed over charges related to his role in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. The film was wrapped up in 1996 when it wasn't quite complete and released with a change in title.

Song

Sherry Main Ho Gaya Deewana - This song was originally recorded and filmed for J.P. Dutta's shelved film "Choodiyan". It could be used in this film since "Choodiyan" had the same leading pair, Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt, on whom the song was picturised.
