Trivia

    Album

  • This was the second of the three films in which Subhash Ghai and Shatrughan Sinha worked together. The other films were "Kalicharan" (1976) and "Gautam Govinda" (1979). Their egos and their competing affection for Reena Roy drove a wedge between them, and they stopped working together eventually. Over the years, their relationship continued to be a stormy one even though Ghai always considered Shatrughan Sinha's wife Poonam as his "raakhi" sister.[1][2][MR35]
  • The audio records of this film were issued in 1977 but the film was released in 1978.
  • This film was remade in Telugu as "Lawyer Viswanath" (1978), starring N.T. Rama Rao, and in Tamil as "Naan Mahaan Alla" (1984), starring Rajinikanth.
