Trivia

    Album

  • The title of this film may have been inspired by the song "Muskurane Ki Wajah Tum Ho" ("Citylights", 2014) written by the dialogue writer of this film, Rashmi Virag. Virag Mishra had written the song under the screen name of Rashmi Singh. He later took on the screen name of Rashmi Virag. Another T-Series film, "Hate Story 3" (2015), had a song of the same title.[1][2]
  • The film's release was postponed by two weeks due to the impact of the banknote demonetisation announced on November 8, 2016.[3]

    Song

  • Wajah Tum Ho - I - Lyricist Manoj Muntashir had written a song of the same title earlier for the film "Hate Story 3" (2015). The two songs had similar but different lyrics.[4]
  • Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas - This was Abhijit Vaghani's recreation of a hit song from the film "Black Mail"(1973). The original song was sung by Kishore Kumar, composed by Kalyanji - Anandji, and written by Rajendra Krishan. An unplugged cover version was also recorded.[5]
  • Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas - Singer Arijit Singh took to Facebook to criticise music producer Abhijit Vaghani for applying excessive pitch correction on his voice. He pledged to never work with Vaghani again. His Facebook read - "I do not understand why people act smart for no reason. Abhijit Vaghani you did not have to tune my voice to this extent. I am so ashamed of this rendition and I so love the original. Good luck with your music bro but honestly your sense of tuning and ruining the classic tune is a classic one. Keep up the good work. You are a talented music producer but I am so done with you. Thank you for making me hear the worst song master ever, thank you for retuning my voice so much that I don’t even recognize. Thank you really for cheating me. If I knew you will change the mix later I wouldn’t have sung this. A classic insult to the original song.".[6]
  • Dil Mein Chhupa Loonga (Aise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho) - The tune and lyrics of the hook line of this song were taken from the Hindi film song "Aise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho" ("Darling Darling", 1977) composed by R.D. Burman, written by Anand Bakshi, and sung by Kishore Kumar.[7]
  • Mahi Ve - This was a recreated version of a song from the film "Kaante" (2002) which was composed by Anand Raj Anand, written by Dev Kohli, and sung by Richa Sharma and Sukhwinder Singh. The original song itself was inspired by the song "Ma Yihye" by the Israeli singer Zehava Ben.[8][9]
  • Mahi Ve - Zareen Khan made a cameo appearance in the film for this song.
