Trivia

    Album

  • The film was one of the biggest hits of its time. It popularised the idea of multi-starrer films with lost-and-found themes. It was remade in Telugu as "Bhale Abbayilu" (1969) and in Malayalam as "Kolilakkam" (1981).
  • Shankar - Jaikishan declined to do this film because they wanted their regular lyricists Shailendra and Hasrat Jaipuri to pen the songs but producer B.R. Chopra insisted on using Sahir Ludhianvi. Ravi was then approached to compose the film's music.[MR8]
  • Some of the film's crew members made cameo appearances in it. These included story writer Akhtar Mirza, who was credited as F.A. Mirza, dialogue writer Akhtar-Ul-Iman, and editor Pran Mehra.

    Song

  • Aage Bhi Jaane Na Tu - Kishore Desai played the mandolin in this song.[1]
