- This was the sequel to the film "Welcome" (2007). The two films had several cast and crew members in common. These included director Anees Bazmi, producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala, writers Rajiv Kaul and Praful Parekh, and actors Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Paresh Rawal.[1]
- This was actor Shiney Ahuja's first film in four years. His last release prior to this film was "Ghost" (2011). In 2009, Ahuja's maid had lodged an FIR against him accusing him of rape. In March 2011, a fast-track court convicted Ahuja and sentenced him to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment. The Bombay High Court granted him bail later.[2][3]
- Music director Aadesh Shrivastava, who composed the film's background score, died of cancer at the age of 51 a day after its release. This was also the last film appearance of Neeraj Vora. He passed away in 2017.
