Trivia

  • This was the third film that was based on director Mahesh Bhatt's real life love affair with actress Parveen Babi. This subject had been dealt earlier in "Arth" (1982) and "Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Aayee" (1993).[1][2]

    Song

  • Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai - This song was an adaptation of the Indonesian song "Tak Bisakah" by the band Peterpan.[3]
  • Chal Chalen Apne Ghar Humsafar - This song was based on the song "A World Of Our Own" (1965), written by Tom Springfield and recorded by The Seekers.[4]
  • Tu Jo Nahin Hai To - This song, sung by Glenn John, was a recreation of a song from the Pakistani film "Savera" (1959). The original song was sung by Glenn John's father, S.B. John. While the original song's mukhda was used as is, Sayeed Quadri wrote new lyrics for the song's antaras.[5]
  • Bin Tere Kya Hai Jeena - This song was a recreation of a hit song by Pakistani artist Jawad Ahmed.[6]
