Trivia

    Album

  • The film opened with an introduction by Ameen Sayani who appeared on the screen for it as well. His message was that while the country was busy facing the challenges posed by the Chinese aggression against India, it was important for everyone to take the time out to smile and be happy.

    Song

  • Mera Dil Tum Pe Aa Gaya - This song featured interludes that had a band playing Hindi film song tunes with actor Shashi Kapoor doing impressions of the actors on whom those songs were filmed. The actor impressions and song tunes featured in the song were Raj Kapoor for "Hum Bhi Hain Tum Bhi Ho" ("Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai", 1960), Dev Anand for "Main Zindagi Ka Saath Nibhata Chala Gaya" ("Hum Dono", 1961), Rajendra Kumar for "Tum Roothi Raho Main Manata Rahoon" ("Aas Ka Panchhi", 1961), and Dilip Kumar for "Zara Man Ki Kewadiya Khol" ("Kohinoor", 1960). While the impressions of Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, and Dilip Kumar are evident, the basis of Shashi Kapoor's Kachhi Ghodi dance for "Tum Roothi Raho Main Manata Rahoon" ("Aas Ka Panchhi", 1961) is unclear.[1][2][3][4]
  • Phir Aane Laga Yaad Wohi Pyar Ka Aalam - The tune of this song's mukhda may have been adapted from Khayyam's "Jis Pyar Mein Yeh Haal Ho" ("Phir Subha Hogi", 1958).[5]
  • Phir Aane Laga Yaad Wohi Pyar Ka Aalam - This was essentially a male solo sung by Mohammed Rafi with Usha Khanna rendering just one phrase - "Pyar ka aalam" - a few times.
