    Album

  • This was the directorial debut of Rajiv Rai, the son of producer Gulshan Rai.
  • Penned by writer Naeem Sha, Anil Kapoor's catchphrase in this film - "Jhakaas" - became very popular. In fact, the actor came to be identified by this word for decades to come.
  • Madan Puri passed away during the making of this film. His dialogues in it were dubbed by a voice artist.
  • This film was in the making for a few years. It was launched with Sanjay Dutt in the lead role in the early 1980s. Dutt was later replaced by Jackie Shroff.

  • Yudh Kar Yudh Kar (Danke Pe Chot Padi Hai) - This tune of this song and its keyboard riff was adapted from the song "Don't Go" (1982) by the British band Yazoo.[1]
