Ali Zafar is a Pakistani pop singer, model and actor.
He was born on May 18, 1980 in Lahore, Pakistan. His parents were professors in the University of Punjab. Ali Zafar graduated as a painter in 2002 from the National College of Arts, Lahore. He appeared as a model in a number of advertisements and acted in television serials before he made a career in music. He is married to Ayesha Fazli, who is related to Indian actor, Aamir Khan.

Ali Zafar’s debut musical album, “Huqa Pani” was released in Pakistan in 2003 and worldwide, in 2005. The hugely popular song “Channo” ensured that the album was an instant hit. He released his second album, “Masty” in 2006. The video of his song “Dekha” from “Masty” was a big hit. “Dekha” later appeared in the 2010 Hollywood film “Wallstreet: Money Never Sleeps”.
He debuted as an actor in the Indian Film “Tere Bin Laden”, directed by Abhishek Sharma in 2010.
His fourth album “Jhoom” was released in February 2011.
Ali Zafar has won a number of awards starting from the Lux Style Awards for Best Album in 2004, for “Huqa Pani” to the Best Male Artist at the 2009 MTV Awards.
