Anaida is an Indian actor, pop singer, playback singer, writer, dancer, poet and painter.
She released her first single "Hotline" when she was 16 years old. Her debut album "Love Today Hai Nahi Aasan" featured choreographer Saroj Khan’s first indi-pop video. Her next album "Nazuk Nazuk" featured the hit song "Oova Oova".
She then released new versions of the English songs "Fever" and "These Boots Are Made For Walking" showcasing her style and versatility. Anaida sang a duet with Baba Sehgal for the Hindi version of the track "Hakuna Matata" from the 1994 Walt Disney movie "The Lion King".
In 1996, she collaborated with the Syrian composer Shukri for the hit song "O Malu Malu". The next year she released the song "Hum Sab Ek Hain" to commemorate 50 years of India’s independence. She was also invited by the Greek composer and pop star Stefanos Korkolis to sing a duet for his album.
In 1998, she sang the song "Quest" in the film "Bombay Boys". Her next album was "Chori Chori", which contained the hit song "Oonchi Neechi".
