Born in Goa in 1947, Annette Pinto was a playback singer in the Hindi film industry who was active from the late seventies through the nineties. She has worked with stalwart composers like Bappi Lahiri, Usha Khanna, Rajesh Roshan and R.D. Burman.
Popular songs by her include “Chhodo Sanam” (“Kudrat”, 1981), “Dilbar Mere”, “Mausam Mastana” (“Satte Pe Satta”, 1982), “Pyar Ka Hoon” (“Zindagani”, 1986) and “Handsome Man” (“Mr. Bond”, 1992). She has also lent her voice to movies like “The Burning Train” (1980), “Laawaris” (1981), “Shiv Charan” (1984), “Ek Din Bahu Ka” (1984), “Qayamat” (1983), “Unchi Uraan” (1984) and “Samundar” (1986).
She has sang with musicians like Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhosle, S.P. Balasubramanium, Vinay Tiwari and Sharon Prabhakar.
