Anusha Mani is a playback singer in Bollywood who broke into the industry in 2007 when Shankar Mahadevan offered her “Dhoka” from “Johnny Gaddaar” (2007).
In 2009 she sang “Dil Mein Jaagi” in the film “Dev D” for which Amit Trivedi won the National Award for Best Music Direction.
She is also a songwriter and composer. Vishal Dadlani, Nikhil D'Souza, Neuman Pinto, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Maria Goretti, Loy Mendonsa, Shankar Mahadevan, Ali Zafar and Akriti Kakkar are some of the singers she has collaborated with. “Lazy Lamhe” (“Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic”, 2008), “Lehrein” (“Aisha”, 2010), “Banware Se Pooche” (“Hum Tum Aur Ghost”, 2010), “Maine Yeh Kab Socha” (“Game”, 2011) and “Zara Dil Ko Thaam Lo” (“Don 2”, 2011) are some of her songs.
