Bohemia is a Punjabi rapper from California who popularized Punjabi Hip-Hop as a music form. He was catapulted into the limelight in 2002 after his debut album "Vich Pardesan De" topped the music charts.
Bohemia was born Roger David, in a Punjabi Christian family in Karachi, Pakistan. His family moved to California, USA when he was in his teens. He was trained in music by his father from a very young age.
After “Vich Pardesan De” (2002), Bohemia released "Pesa Nasha Pyar" (2006), "Da Rap Star" (2009) and "Thousand Thoughts" (2012). It was in 2009 that Bollywood beckoned with the Warner Bros movie "Chandi Chowk to China" for which he wrote and produced the title track. Then came "8x10 Tasveer" in the same year for which he wrote, produced and sang the title track "I Got the Picture". In 2011, he sang the song "Sansar" as a special feature under the music direction of Sandeep Chowta for the movie "Speedy Singhs".
Perhaps his most talked about performance remains his appearances in Season 5 of Pakistan's Coke Studio where he performed "Paise Da Nasha", "School Di Kitaab" and "Kandyari Dhol Geet".
