Jayashri Ramnath, aka Bombay Jayashri, is an Indian Carnatic vocalist. Jayashri hails from a family of musicians and trained under the Carnatic maestros, Lalgudi Jayaraman and T.R. Balamani.
While she performs in Carnatic music concerts over the world and released several Carnatic albums, she has also furthered her contributions to music through her independent compositions for albums, dance ballets and documentaries.

Her singing for films, primarily Tamil, gained her a new generation and class of fans. Her rendition of “Vaseegara” (“Minnale”, Tamil, 2001) and its Hindi version “Zara Zara” (“Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein”, 2001) were huge hits. She won the Filmfare South award for Best Female Playback Singer for “Vaseegara”.
