Krishna Kalle was a noted Marathi and Hindi film playback singer. After bagging a national level singing award in 1957, she got a job with All India Radio in 1960. She was active in the Hindi film industry for about a decade from the mid 1960s to the 1970s.
In Hindi films, she is best remembered for the songs "Sochta Hoon Ke Tumhen Maine Kahin Dekha Hai" ("Raaz", 1967) and "Chakkar Chalaye Ghanchakkar" ("Do Dooni Char", 1968).
She also sang for several Marathi films and released non-film albums.
In 2014, she was awarded the Lata Mangeshkar Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar by Maharashtra government.
