Christened Mano by Ilayaraja, Mano is the stage name of the Indian playback singer Nagoor Babu who has over 3000 live concerts to his credit. Born on October 26, 1965 in Vijayawada, Mano sings in Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi. He is also an actor and a producer.

Having learnt carnatic music from the well-known vocalist Nedanuri Krishnamurthy, it was by chance that music director M.S. Vishwanathan happened to hear him sing on location of a Telugu film he was acting in 1979. Mano went on to work as M.S. Vishwanathan’s assistant for two and a half years. He has also worked as Telugu music director Chakravarthy’s assistant from 1982-1984.
Hits that began with “Shenbagame” from “Enga Ooru Paatukkaran” (1987), continued with “Mukkala Muqabla” (Kaadhalan, 1994), “Thillana” (“Muthu”, 1995) and “Azhagiya Laila” (Ullathai Allitha, 1996). In Hindi he has sung a couple for songs for Gulshan Kumar in movies like “Aaja Meri Jaan” (1993) and “Kasam Teri Kasam” (1993).
