Panchhi Jalonvi is a lyricist in the Hindi film industry. Born Syed Ather Hasan in Jalon near Chambal in Uttar Pradesh, he took on the pseudonym when he entered the industry.
He began his career in Bollywood with Vishal-Shekhar’s “Dus” in 2005. Arguably, one of his most famous chartbuster creations is “Dus Bahane” from this movie. Since then he has worked with music directors like Daboo Malik, Aadesh Shrivastava, Ranjit Barot, Gaurav Dasgupta and Ravi Pawar.
“Chakravyuh” (2012), “Do Dilon Ke Khel Mein” (2010), “Dus Kahaniyaan” (2007), “Cash” (2007), Aalaap (2012) and “Ra.One” (2007) are some of the movies that he has penned lines for.
