Praveen Bharadwaj is a lyricist in the Hindi film industry who has tried his hand at music direction and playback singing as well. He was catapulted into fame with his debut number “Kem Che” (“Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rahta Hai”, 2000).
“Swaha”, a 2010 Manoj Sharma film, saw Praveen debut as a music director. He also wrote all the songs in the soundtrack. He used singers like Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Shilpa Rao, Rikkee and KK in his songs.
Likewise, “Udd Chala” in “Sandhya” (2003), under the music direction of Anand Raj Anand, was his first chance at playback. He was also the songwriter for the movie. “Aankhen” (2002), “Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam” (2002), “Bhoot” (2003) and “Chocolate” (2005) are some of the popular movies he has been a lyricist for.
