Shaarang Dev is a music director in the Hindi film industry.

His 1997 movie “Aastha: The Prison of Spring” has lyrics written by Gulzar and contained the songs “Jai Jai Nath” by K. Ravi Shankar, “Tan Pe Lagti” by Sriradha Bannerjee, “Tum Tanana Tere Na” by Vinod Rathod and Sadhana Sargam and “Yeh Raat Kunwari Hai” by Vinod Rathod. Asha Bhosle, Munmi Bora, Anupama Deshpande, Arun Ingle, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Pankaj Mitra, Murali Mizhar, Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal and KK are some of the other playback singers he has worked with.

A few of the other lyricists he has worked with in the industry include Ramendra Mohan Tripathi in “Ramayana: The Epic” (2010), Amitabh Verma in “Mr. Singh/Mrs. Mehta” (2010) and Vasant Dev in “Raja Rani Ko Chahiye Paseena” (1978). Some of the other movies he has composed music for in his career include “The Morning Breeze” (1995), “Rihaee” (1988), and “Main Zinda Hoon” (1988).
