Shiamak Davar is a choreographer in the Hindi film industry. This versatile artist is also an actor, music director, playback singer, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He has to his credit the monumental acclaim of moulding Bollywood style of dance to the form we know it as today. In 1992, he brought to India, western styles of dance by setting up his dance school, SDIPA.

Born on 19 October 1961 in a Parsi family in South Mumbai, he learnt dance in several performance institutes in London including Guilford School of Acting. His first film as choreographer, “Dil To Pagal Hai” (1997) won him the National Award for Best Choreography. As a playback singer he can be heard crooning in the title track of “Jhoot Bhole Kauwa Kaate” (1998) to Anand Bakshi’s lines composed by Anand-Milind. He turned music director with the release of the album “Mohabbat Kar Le” where he composed seven songs. His second album titled “Dil Chahe” has eight tracks.
