Shriram Iyer is a playback singer and music director in Bollywood. He is also the lead vocalist of the pop-rock-fusion band Om. He has done over 2000 live shows in his career including Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in 2010.
He has been learning classical music since the age of five. He was a software professional before he launched his career in Bollywood in 1998. He came into the limelight in Bollywood with the self-composed songs “Maula” and “Tum Tana” in Nagesh Kukunoor’s “Iqbal” (2005).
Other movies he has sung in include “Dil Bechara Pyaar Ka Maara” (2004), “Udaan” (2010) and “Shor in the City” (2011). In 2011, “Dilli Dilli” and “Aali Re”, songs he sung for the film “No One Killed Jessica”, became superhits.
He has worked with music directors like Amit Trivedi, Nikhil-Vinay and Harpreet and lyrcists like Rajeshwar Mishra, Indraneel, Anurag Kashyap, Nishu and Amitabh Bhattacharya in his career.
