Tulsi Kumar is a playback singer in the Hindi film industry.
She is the daughter of T-series founder Gulshan Kumar. Her brother, Bhushan Kumar currently manages the audio company and is also a film producer in the industry. Tulsi began her career in music as supporting vocals in many Bollywood films around 2006 including “Humko Deewana Kar Gaye”, “Aksar” and “Chup Chup Ke”.
“Mujhe Teri”, a song she sang for the 2010 movie “Paathshaala” was a superhit. In the same year, she also sang “Tum Jo Aaye Zindagi Mein”, a duet with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in the film “Once Upon a Time in Mumbai” which was also an instant hit.
Songs she has sung in Bollywood include “Meri Dhup Hai Tu” (“Zindaggi Rocks”, 2006), “Akele Tanha” (“Darling”, 2007), “Soniye Je Tere” (“Karzzz”, 2008), “Love Mera Hit Hit” (“Billu Barber”, 2009), “Hafiz Khuda” (“8x10 Tasveer”, 2009) and “Kick Lag Gayi” (“Bittoo Boss”, 2012).
Other movies she has sung for are “Phir Hera Pheri” (2006), “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” (2007), “Love Ho Jaaye” (2009), “Dulha Mil Gaya” (2010), “Ready” (2011), “Dangerous Ishhq” (2012) among others.
